Stories in this issue are:

  • Bird in Hand • Just once, Alan would love to feel Dad grip his hand and say, “Wow!” when they watch an Osprey dive into a lake to catch a fish. But Dad, the wrestling coach, could care less about birds. However, when Paulo, an ornithologist, moves into the neighborhood, Alan finds a man who understands him.
  • Be Confident • Just once, Esteban wishes that his dad would cheer him on at a wrestling meet. Instead, his dad flips through bird books up in the stands while the other dads cheer on their sons. But when they move, Esteban discovers that a wrestling coach lives across the street. And that coach loves giving one-on-one lessons to eager boys.
  • Being Good Dads • Paulo and Trevor want to be good dads. But they have sons they can’t understand. Maybe they won’t share the same hobbies as their own sons, but they sure can find another man who will.
  • Let It Snow • Aiden and his son, Jon, have a very close father-son bond. Much closer than most. And they both take an interest when a hot man moves in next door. Aysenur is a runner. But when deep snows covers everything, Aiden and Jon invite him over to use their treadmill.
  • Everything We Need • Uncle Tavis warns Sean when they pick up Sean’s dad after a year in prison, “Your dad won’t be the same.” What Sean doesn’t know is that while Dad was in prison, he got used to being loved by another man. So will Dad tell Sean that he has certain needs now?
