Stories in the April 2009 issue are:

- Over the Line • Making the winning touchdown is the highlight of Allen’s football season. But Mr. Wilson, his friend’s father, has a highlight for Allen too.
- Making the Rent by Joseph • Buds Joseph, Jamal and Gregor are roomies having a hard time making the rent. They hear about a landlord who is easy on the rent. “Of course, nothing is for free, but if you’re nice to the guy now and then, everything is cool.”
- Student Teacher by A Chicago Friend • PE teacher Mike Hammer, shapes up the school’s physical education program. Mike Hammer and the principal make sure needy Kyle gets all the attention he needs.
- The Sauna is Too Small by Bruno B. • Dad, Grandpa, and Uncle are crammed in the small sauna. Is it too small for another one to join them? They don’t think so.
