So what bothers Cliff so much that he needs to ask for Randy’s help?
The coach overhear the boys in the locker room talking about a TikTok challenge. The boys are daring each other to have sex in public places. Cliff thinks his son, Jonas, is going to attempt the challenge.
“You’ve got to be kidding,” Randy says.
“I wish I were, but kids these days and that damn TikTok. Last month a bunch of kids trashed the gym locker room on a TikTok challenge. Cost the school tens of thousands to fix it,” Cliff says. He taps his fingers on his desk and sighs. “I’m worried Jonas is going to do something stupid and get arrested, you know, get a record, have to register as a sex offender and all.
So how can Randy possibly help his boss? He can tell Cliff wants his help. Normally, Randy would butt out of such a situation. But Cliff is a great boss. The best boss Randy’s had.
“So, uh, how can I help?” I said.
