- Take Up the Slack • Because of an unusual cold spell, the power company asks customers to conserve energy by turning down their thermostats. But Dad knows many customers won’t bother. So he and his son, Radek, will have to do their part, and take up the slack. But the house is now so cold, that the only warm place Radek can find to beat off is in front of the wood stove in the big room.
- River of Cum • When deranged parents want to force the high school to teach Creation Science, high school teacher Mr. Pine objects. “What about the Numadhi creation story?
